Our Story

In 2003, a group of parents partnered together to provide a classical Christian education for their children. Classical Christian education is designed according to the development of the student and pairs great methods with great stories and skills to cultivate students who flourish as they learn. Starting with just 56 students, classes for students in grades K-8 were formed while renting from a nearby church. In 2008, Covenant was given its facility on Telge Road, which has allowed resources to be poured into faculty and students instead of buildings.

In 2012, we launched our high school and graduated our first class in 2016. PK-12th student enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year is 145 students with the high school comprised of 34 students.  Our upper school (grades 7-12) has an average class size of 10.5 students. All upper school faculty members are degreed with respect to their disciplines and 40% hold advanced degrees.

Covenant is organized into four houses: Washington, Madison, Hamilton, and Henry. Houses provide mentorship opportunities and infrastructure across grade levels. Our students actively participate in maintaining our House courtyard gardens, a reminder that we are cultivators of truth, goodness, and beauty.

One for the History Books (2017-18)

On August 26, 2017, Covenant Academy was flooded as a result of Hurricane Harvey like so many businesses and families in the area.

...and we bounced back and became an even more close-knit community as a result.

This is a video made by our 2017-18 Yearbook students and staff to ring in the new [calendar] year and show what a miraculous transformation our campus went through. It is a summary of the first half of the school year, including school traditions like our Annual History Parade, Thanksgiving Feast, Veteran’s Day Chapel and an unusual SNOW DAY!
