What extracurricular activities and clubs do you offer?
Covenant offers a variety of activities and clubs for all ages and varied interests, including Before & After School Choirs, Dance, Chess, Student Council, National Honor Society, Junior Honor Society, etc. Please visit this link for details on our Clubs and Activities.
Do you have sports teams?
Covenant has many successful sports teams our Patriots may join. Several of our high school athletes have represented Covenant at state-level competitions through TAPPS. Former alumni athletes and current juniors and senior athletes have qualified for Academic All-State awards through TAPPS. Students starting in 5th grade may join a sports team, which includes cross-country, volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Our upper school students (7th-12th) may also join our run club or wrestling team. Find out more about our Athletics program here.
Can we meet and connect with other school families?
At Covenant, we value the closeness of a small community. Connecting as a community helps foster the culture we strive to cultivate at Covenant. Through Covenant Community Life (CCL) we host school-wide events, performances, field trips, and celebrations for the whole family. We welcome parents to volunteer in and outside the classroom.
Do you participate in standardized testing?
As a school, we participate in annual testing to evaluate how we are meeting our students’ academic goals.
- In the spring, we administer the CLT (Classical Learning Test) for grades 3-6.
- In October, the PSAT/NMSQT is administered to grades 9-11 in preparation for the SAT.
- The CLT, an alternative college entrance exam, is administered to grades 7-10 in the Spring.
The results obtained from these tests provide our educators and parents with objective measurements of our students’ skills. Test results are distributed to the parents when they become available.
When may we visit the school?
We gladly receive visitors to our campus throughout the school year and during summer office hours. Please complete this form or contact the school office at 281-373-2233 to arrange a time to tour with our Admission Director, Melissa den Dulk. We encourage you to visit various classrooms during the school year to see Classical Christian Education in action and determine if Covenant Academy is right for your child.
Does Covenant Academy accept transfer students?
We accept applications for mid-year decisions.
Does Covenant accept international students?
We currently do not accept international transfer students (I-20).
Does Covenant offer a multiple-child discount?
We are committed to keeping our tuition prices as low as possible. If you have researched tuition prices, you have probably noticed that Covenant’s tuition is one of the area’s lowest five-day private Christian schools available. At this point, we cannot lower the tuition further to provide an additional discount without impacting the resources available to our students. However, we are open to considering this in the future as our school continues to grow.
Families are welcome to apply for tuition assistance, including instances of multiple children. Covenant Academy employs a third-party assessment of all tuition assistance applications. Evaluations result in various options for families, from a month-to-month payment plan to varying percentages of tuition and fees covered. These grants reflect the family’s requests and assessment of financial need.
The FACTS Grant & Aid is need based and considers each family’s total tuition amount when determining the assistance qualified families are recommended to receive.
How do we apply to Covenant Academy?
Visit the How to Apply section on this page. Once the completed application, all supporting documents, and the application fee are received, you will be contacted by the admissions office regarding your academic testing.
What documents are required when applying?
Your admissions file begins once we receive your Online Application and application fee. For each student, we require the following essential forms and documents on or before the family interview:
- Copy of the Birth Certificate (Pre-K applicants must be four years old, and Kindergarten applicants must be five years old by Sept. 1)
- Copy of the Immunization Records (state law requires that the school have a complete and accurate record of a student’s immunization history, including all doses), OR provide a notarized Affidavit Request for Exemption from Immunizations for Reasons of Conscience

When is the application deadline for the upcoming school year?
Applications are accepted anytime; however, applications received in early January will receive priority processing for the upcoming school year. Enrollment decisions will be declared after February 1.
How are acceptances determined?
After admission evaluation, qualifying students (meeting our admissions requirements) will be extended an invitation for a parent interview. The decision for acceptance or denial is made by the Admissions Committee. We are looking for families who will benefit from and be a benefit to Covenant Academy because of their like-minded goals for their children.
Additionally, we require every student to be academically ready for our curriculum. Some students may benefit from completing required math and/or language arts tutoring as a contingency to admission. Covenant Academy faculty and high school students are available as math tutors and/or language arts tutors and will create a personalized schedule for your student.
How are admissions decisions communicated?
Once the Admission Committee makes a decision, you will be notified in writing via email regarding your child’s admissions status. Enrollment is completed when fees are paid electronically via our Online Enrollment portal.
Can we reserve a space for our child by applying early?
We review applications in the order they are received and placement in an open spot is based on the date of your completed Online Enrollment and payment of your enrollment fees. It is beneficial to prioritize scheduling testing appointments and family interview dates for your class placement in the upcoming school year.
All admissions decisions are communicated via email. If an application is received and accepted for a class that is currently full, your student will be placed on our waiting list. Classroom placement is only reserved once the enrollment is complete and the enrollment fee is paid.
Applications received outside of the typical enrollment deadline will be processed on a case-by-case basis.
